The ninth edition of Transforma is over, thank you! <3
You could say that every year we add higher goals, more demands, more professionalism. This year we added to these ambitions the worry of extremely bad weather. In spite of all the experience applied so far, it was definitely the most extensive and challenging year. We would like to thank you all very much for the support, forbearance, respect and humility you have shown us as collaborators or spectators.
The festival offered countless interesting meetings, collaborations, concerts, performances... we have no chance to list everything here, but we will still take the liberty to mention some really special moments.
Thursday's opening of the exhibition "What We Mean by Ourselves is How We Live", combined with concerts, was quite possibly the last chance to fill the Křižíkova elektrárna building in its current state. We've been working towards this moment for 4 years and in collaboration with Transforma_exp and Heartnoize promotion we take this long-standing dream/goal as fulfilled. In collaboration with Ester Grohová and her Garden of Desires, the first ever opening cermony of the festival took place.A record number of riders took part in the Alleycat race, putting it in one of the top places in the historical tables of the Czech Republic. We are glad that we managed to reverse the declining trend of the last years and together with the bike-community to prove that there is still interest in this unusual race.
We booked a record number of foreign artists who organically fit into the dramaturgy among the local matadors. A special situation arose when one of the performers decided to fly in despite the baby's impending arrival date. Thus, it was his last gig for a long time. When he told us after the show and added that he couldn't imagine a better performance before the break, it was exactly the moment we do it for.A special tribute also goes out to the warriors who, despite the constant rain, kept the Sunday after party moving forward until the police arrived. No one would have expected that after 2 days and 2 nights of rain, there would still be stage diving going on in the šapitó on Sunday night. The longest played time of this year's festival is by Shurigen - 13h.
Thank you for being with us.Love is the oldest tradition in the world.
Nekonečně dlouhá poklona všem níže zmíněným.

WHO ARE WETransforma is a cultural festival in the South Bohemian town of Tábor, founded in 2016. As the organizers, our main concern from the beginning has been to symbiotically connect to the strong local cultural background and its creative blending with wider scenes from the Czech Republic and abroad. Careful line-up construction is a key process for us to bring visitors the best possible balance of diverse directions and approaches, regardless of genre limits. We don't want to rely on headliners, but on an organic whole made up of interesting personalities and groups. At Transforma, this is to be closely intertwined with the genius loci of Tábor's Cesta, an old mill with a rich tradition of alternative culture, which has become our main base.
In addition to improving the core of the programme at Cesta, however, we remain true to our original philosophy, which emphasises the festival's intertwining with the city itself and its diverse and often neglected corners. We continue our efforts to show the potential of possible use of the historically valuable and until recently dilapidated Křižíkova elektrárna and to enliven the main part of the dramaturgy with an accompanying programme spread around the city. Visitors can look forward to exhibitions, author readings, lectures, local gastronomy, skate jam or alleycat.
This event is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the town of Tábor.
